Sure, everyone knows the classics by now, but for every E-Type, Miura, 33 and GTO, there are countless other beautiful cars which have been overlooked. Even if they don't have as glamorous a badge, they weren't in some movie 40 years ago, or they've simply been forgotten in time, I think there are plenty of "other" beautiful cars.
My pick is the Fiat 130 in the above picture. I think that it treads the line between elegant and aggressive perfectly, and it's one of the best looking cars to come out of 70's Italy.
What about you? What forgotten beauty deserves more recognition?

the Mondial!!
Also, that Fiat looks like an Italian AMC muscle car a bit.

Love this sort of topic. How about the Alfa 2000 Sportiva Coupe?
Or maybe the TR4/5?

I have personally never seen a more beautiful car than Detomaso Pantera. They are so much more beautiful in person than in pictures.
The Maserati Bora deserves a honorable mention
Can you tell I like 70s super cars?

I feel that the M1 encapsulated everything good about car design in the 80s, before the 80s.
Looking into that grill is like looking into the face of god.
The FD is usually considered the most beautiful Japanese car.
The 1971 Camaro is pretty fucking beautiful... but...
I feel that the 1973 Torino may have refined the design. It has a perfect mix of muscle and 70s class.
The Jaguar XK140 once held the world production car speed record.

Dammit, I knew I forgot one on my list. The Pantera is pure sex.

The 348 is one of my favorite Ferrari's. I often get the feeling that its forgotten behind the likes of the 458, 430, 360, and 355.
Honorable mention: Jaguar XJR-15. I feel this car hides in the XJ220's shadow
...which reminds me of the Nissan r390

This. It's a real shame they didn't bring out a replacement in the early 70s.

I would say the Ferrari 400/412. I love that shape.

When I first saw a Hot Wheel of it I just admired how the car combined an American style with Japanese sensibility, and it just struck me as completely and utterly beautiful.

The Bora-derivative Merak is also pretty neat, but neither the Bora or the Merak look good with the post-'74 bumpers.

The 70's were a great time for Japanese sports cars, you can see the American muscle car influence mixed with Japanese style

Man, Celicas, Skylines, 510's, 240zs, they were all just beautiful. I found they perfectly mixed a lot of what they saw from Europe and America, and refined it so that it's elegant and simple.

The Citroën DS Chapron isn't commonly spoken of when referring to beautiful cars.

The Glas 2600/3000 V8 GT was nicknamed the "Glaserati" for styling similarities to Maseratis of the era, since they were styled by Pietro Frua.

The Panhard 24. There's just something about the clean, understated, airy, Corvair-inspired styling, combined with quirky Frenchness that makes this car so stylish. There was the long wheelbase Panhard 24 BT:
and the short wheelbase Panhard 24 CT.
It's too bad they were absorbed into Citroën instead of complementing the Citroën range.

There's also the extremely obscure 3500 GTZ, with the Z denoting that it was styled by Zagato.

Any of the Ford/Mercury Capris from Europe. Not the post '78 fox body ones though, they kept making the EU cars in Cologne until '86. The proportions are just right. Especially with old over the counter body kits like the X-Pack, (I think its the X-Pack anyways, im probably wrong though), on my old man's '75 JPS 2.8 turbo. (yes that is a german plate, the OPP are very understanding about the mis-matched plates. Usually.)

Saw my first Pantera in the wild at the Baltimore GP this year. I was floored. Naturally, nobody else I was around had any idea what it was.

For me it's always been the MK1 RA28 Toyota Celica GT. Every time I see one, my knees just go all wibbly wobbly on me.

The original Acura NSX deserves a nod. It's beautiful yet so simple and functional. It's a piece of art you can drive. Plus it's Senna approved, and that says a lot about this icon.

Surprised that nobody has brought up the BMW 507 Roadster
That and the 1970 Torino. Ford nailed the fuselage styling on that.
